# USPS

The **USPS Addresses API** validates address information to help improve delivery accuracy and reduce failed shipments.

**Setup**

1. Log in to the USPS developer portal at\
 <https://cop.usps.com/cop-navigator>\
(You may need to create an account if you don’t already have one.)
2. Once logged in, select **My Apps** from the top-right toolbar.
3. Under **Getting Started**, follow the instructions to add a new app to your portal.
4. When prompted, add a name to your App - we suggest using "Formsort".
5. After the app is created, copy your **Consumer Key** and **Consumer Secret**.
6. Paste both values into the **USPS Addresses** integration settings in Formsort. Be sure to add a description, as this will help *you* identify your credentials in the Formsort UI.
7. Make sure to deploy/redeploy your flows after integration setup.

Your USPS integration is now ready to validate addresses within your forms.
